Rock, Read & Eat! is a unique literacy workshop
that exposes children to literature and recreational reading as a fun-filled special event at schools,
libraries,stores and birthday parties. Rock Read & Eat! celebrates literacy through music,
cooking and great storybooks. The primary mission is to enlighten minds through literature and introduce the
early learner to reading as a recreational activity. Hosted by the Reading
Fairy, the fun begins with music and movement - ROCK! Next an interactive
story is read aloud - READ! Finally, collectively a creative snack related to
the story is prepared- EAT! Rock, Read & Eat! is edutainment (education
+ entertainment) at its best!

Rock, Read & Eat! was designed to excite children about recreational
reading. The high-energy program has reached its goal and is presently a big
hit throughout New Jersey and New York. Rock, Read & Eat! has been featured
at select Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Borders, Books & Music, WLIW21’s (PBS
affiliate) “Reading Fun Day,” Panera Bread Cafe, Starbucks, PTA workshops,
Mom groups, libraries, schools and after school programs. Rock, Read & Eat!
has definitely become a favorite of children and parents everywhere!
